This site is currently under construction, but there's happy artwork to see here. The online shop is open, though currently rudimentary. We are working on expanding available listings, including unique copper artwork and ceramics, while also improving our images. Take your time, look around, and learn about us and our creative work. We hope you enjoy exploring our site and drop us a line.

We work primarily in copper artwork, steel, and clay, while bronze sculptures also hold a special place in our collection.

James W. Ardis began his art career as a potter, creating pottery and dinnerware sets on the farm in Hemlock, Michigan during the 1970s. In the 80s, he began teaching at Delta College and the Midland Center for the Arts. During this period, he started developing slab-built sculptures, extruded pieces, and durable outdoor art. The 90s saw a shift towards bronze sculptures and copper artwork, culminating in my apprenticeship alongside Dad in the studio. From the 2000s to the present, we have participated in gallery shows, trade fairs, and art festivals coast to coast, along with numerous commissions for public sculpture. Our portfolio includes custom orders for gardens, bridge medallions, fountains in town squares, and several large wall-mounted sculptures that serve as logos and signage for businesses nationwide. Our classical and stylized bronze sculptures continue to evolve, becoming bigger and better. Like many small businesses, we faced significant setbacks due to Covid, but we are on the path to recovery. Dad remains the Master Sculptor, now semi-retired. We are currently restructuring, with me (Jim Jr.) returning to the studio and my sons beginning to contribute their creativity to our family business.

Art— for art's sake and for legacy. Connection— with both people and source. When old AL (Artistic License) starts whispering in our ear, all bets are off. Each idea, whether it be bronze sculptures, copper artwork, or Raku pottery, manifests in its own unique style. We aim to create whatever we desire and have it sold years in advance for more than we could ever need.
